“Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.” This quote from George Bernard Shaw opens up a profound perspective on human existence and our journey toward self-realization. It suggests that our true task is not to discover a pre-existing identity, but rather to actively and consciously shape ourselves based on our own visions, desires, and values.
Many people spend their lives correcting their mistakes, transcending them, accepting them with love, or processing them through various rituals. While self-reflection and personal growth are undeniably valuable, paradoxically, fixating on our mistakes can cause us to remain stuck in the vibration of those very mistakes. This state can block true progress, as it keeps us trapped in a cycle of self-criticism and scarcity thinking.
It is undoubtedly important to know and understand our past and our origins. They give us insights into our conditioning and the origins of our behavior patterns. However, our past should not be seen as an immutable blueprint for our future. We are not doomed to endlessly repeat the stories of our past. Rather, we have the power and freedom to reshape our future and create a life that aligns with our deepest desires and dreams.
The crucial question we should ask ourselves is therefore: What do we really want from life? This question invites us to look beyond our previous experiences and limitations and imagine a future shaped by our most authentic desires and goals. It is about having the courage to break away from old patterns and follow the path that leads us to true fulfillment and self-realization. In this process of consciously creating our lives, we can discover that the greatest potential for change and growth lies within ourselves.
